Natural Leadership

who is it for?

If you want to be coached or learn how to become a coach and you like being on the water, this program is for you!

Due to the constant changes in your environment, at times you may feel stuck, stressed, overworked, or overwhelmed. Perhaps you have people constantly coming to you with their problems and you are not able to get them to take action, ownership, or accountability for results.

If you are experiencing any of these common workplace scenarios and want to hone the skill of coaching or be coached, this program is for you. It is our 3E Promise to equip, empower, and engage participants to produce the following objectives and outcomes.

Become a Coach

If you are looking to become a Paddle Through It Coach, you will:

  • Learn a coaching model that outlines the process for working with others

  • Gain strategies to help you promote open, flexible, and confident coaching relationships

  • Practice active listening, powerful questioning, and giving effective feedback

  • Get equipped with tools that allow you to help others achieve their desired outcomes

be coached

If you are looking to Be Coached on the water, you will:

  • Identify the areas where you are feeling stuck, stressed, overworked, or overwhelmed and what impact it is having on your work/home life. You can also choose the “free-flow” option to see where the water takes our conversation

  • Examine the root causes of these feelings and explore strategies that you have tried and would like to try in the future to minimize their impact

  • Imagine the vision for the future (you establish the timeline) and explore driving forces towards that vision and what you want to do to strengthen them in the short term

  • Develop a plan that you believe will help you take control of your thoughts, words, feelings, and actions (or inaction) towards a vision you would like to realize in the future

what is it?

Option 1:

become a coach

Typically, this program is offered as a live full-day workshop—which is still available upon request! However, due to COVID-19, the interactive learning portion of the program can be delivered virtually via Zoom.

Once you hit the water, you will be equipped, paired up and ready to practice your coaching skills with 1-2 other participants. Once you come off the water, we will come back together to debrief and give feedback regarding your coaching experience.

This learning adventure is designed using the 4MAT model to create a more dynamic, engaging learning experience that results in greater retention and appreciation. 4MAT blends discussion, information, coaching and self-discovery methods of learning and application.

Option 2:

be coached

If you are traveling to Wilmington, NC or are from the area, we will put in our kayaks at Trails End Park. This is a one-on-one 60-minute coaching session on the water with no distractions other than beautiful vistas and wildlife—specifically birds. To help you get a feel for what to expect, included in the cost is a 30-minute prep-talk. If you would like to book a group, we can get creative and discuss what that might look like—READ MORE here.

If you live outside the Wilmington, NC area and want Molly to come to you, it is recommended that you gather 10+ colleagues or friends who have an interest in this coaching adventure. Each group (or individual person) is responsible for finding their own outfitter. After booking the outfitter, each person has a 30-minute pre-paddle coaching session with Molly a minimum of 72 hours in advance of getting on the water.

Once on the water, we will engage in our 60-minute coaching session… unplugged and free from distractions! As your coach, Molly will go at your speed and comfort level. If scheduling a group, please plan for a 15-minute buffer time between each paddle and no more than 5 kayakers per day (weather permitting). Liability waivers must be signed the day of the booking. Contact Molly for details.

Sustain or expand your outcomes!

Request ongoing 6o-minute Paddle Through It Coaching Sessions via Zoom or phone. These sessions can be topic focused or focus on work/home life in general. You determine the frequency! Ask about the coaching session discount when you purchase 3 sessions and put them to use within 60 days!

Are you looking for ways to take your leadership skills to a new level? Or perhaps you're a new leader and don't know where to begin. Maybe you're a seasoned leader with a new project, new team or new challenges... No matter where you find yourself along the journey, Paddle Through It Coaching with Molly Nece will not disappoint! I'm still processing the depth of our conversation while on the water. Between the beautiful sunrise, the mild temperatures and an amazing coach, my session was more than I imaged. Some believe we intuitively know what to do in challenging situations, but it never hurts to process, plan, prepare and position yourself for ultimate excellence!
